King Buffet Crystal Lake

Yesterday, my 15-year-old daughter, Jessica, paid for us to go to King Buffet, my favorite dine-in restaurant, to celebrate my birthday. When the manager found out it was my birthday, he gave me a card for a free dinner. So, we decided to eat there again tonight, as we haven't had Chinese food in months, prior to yesterday. King Buffet is a hidden gem, as it is across the street from Sam's Club (Crystal Lake, IL), almost adjacent to Mega Trampoline, in the far corner of the shopping center where the *old* Walmart used to be. They have really delicious food of a wide variety, and extremely friendly and attentive people who work there. It's always a pleasure to dine there. The restaurant is large and not crowded, certainly only because it is so well hidden. More people should know about it. It deserves to be packed. The prices are very good too, especially if you go before 3:30 PM on a weekday. I'd highly recommend King Buffet to anyone who reads this, even if you have a bit of a drive to get there. My personal favorite items are the stir fried green beans and the pepper chicken. (But, it's an all-you-can-eat buffet, so you aren't limited in your choices.) Also, they have unusually good *white* rice, which somehow makes whatever it is paired with taste even better. King Buffet is easy to miss, but not if you know were to look.
